Claudia Pfeil

Claudia Pfeil is a German textile designer, quilter, teacher, and visionary whose work blurs the line between traditional patchwork and fine art. She studied textile design and began her creative journey in the 1980s, later becoming a sought-after quilting instructor and innovator in fabric and color exploration. Based in Krefeld, Germany, Claudia has built an international following for her rich, technique-driven quilts often created with silk and unique fabrics that reflect her love of experimental design and storytelling through cloth. In addition to teaching and exhibiting her work, she creates original patchwork fabrics and patterns from her studio and has played a role in expanding longarm quilting in Europe.
