Fabric Requirements:

Fabric K - 1-1/2 yards needed (can get by with 1-3/8 yards if cutting carefully)

Cutting Instructions:

Fabric C

Cut 1 strip 6" x WOF - subcut three 6" x 6" squares - Trim remainder of the strip down to 3¾" wide - cut 2 3¾" x 3¾" squares for HSTs

Cut 1 strip 3¾ x WOF - subcut ten 3¾" x 3¾" squares for HSTs

Fabric K 

Cut 1 strip 3¼" x WOF - subcut twelve 3¼" x 3¼" squares

Cut 2 strips 3¾ x WOF - subcut twelve 3¾" x 3¾" squares for HSTs

Cut 24 strips 1½" x WOF

  From 2 strips cut - 24 strips 1½" x 3½"

  From 6 strips cut - 18 strips 1½" x 11½" for vertical sashing

  Sew 8 strips together end-to-end to create one long strip. - From resulting strip cut 6 strips 1½" x 51½" for horizontal sashing

  Sew 3 strips together end-to-end to create one long strip. - From resulting strip cut 2 strips 1½" x 53½" for top/bottom inner borders

  Sew 4 strips together end-to-end to create one long strip. - From resulting strip cut 2 strips 1½" x 63½" for side inner borders


Amalfi Coast BOM Pattern Corrections:

Month 1

Fabric D - 1 - 4.5" x WOF strip cut into 4 - 4.5" squares

Step 2: Arrange a marked Fabric K 2.5” square RST on a corner of a Fabric D 4.5” square as shown. Sew along the marked line. Trim seam allowance to ¼". Press. Make 4 Units 1. On Units 1, draw a diagonal line across the wrong side of the units parallel with the corner units as shown.

Month 3

Fabric D - 2 - 1¼" x  WOF" strips cut into 8 - 1¼" x  6½" sashing & 3 - 1¼" x  WOF" strips cut into 8 - 1¼" x  13½" sashing

Month 7

Fabric E - Fat Eighth not Fat Sixteenth - 4 - 2" x WOF strips cut into 8 - 2" x 8½" rectangles

Fabric H - Fat Eighth not Fat Sixteenth - 4 - 2” x WOF strips cut into 8 - 2” x 8½” rectangles

Fabric I - Fat Eighth not Fat Sixteenth - 4 - 1½” x WOF strips cut into 8 - 1½” x 8½” rectangles

Fabric K - Fat Eighth not Fat Sixteenth - 4 - 2" x WOF strips cut into 8 - 2" x 8½" rectangles

Fabric N - Fat Eighth not Fat Sixteenth - 4 - 2" x WOF strips cut into 8 - 2" x 8½" rectangles

Fabric P - Fat Eighth not Fat Sixteenth - 4 - 1½" x WOF strips cut into 8 - 1½" x 8½" rectangles

Step 2: Arrange one of each 1½” x 8½” Fabric B, 2” x 8½” Fabric F, 2” x 8½” Fabric J, 2” x 8½” Fabric L with one 2” x 8½” R rectangle and one 1½” x 8½” Fabric R rectangle as shown. Sew together. Press. Make 8 Blocks 7B (8½" unfinished block).

MAKE THE QST UNITS:

Section 2: Sew 2 QST pairs together, using 1 of each colorway. Rotate as needed to get the correct layout. All OST units are the same in this block. Repeat. Make 32 OST units (NOT 48!)

ASSEMBLE THE BLOCK:

ROW 2: — Sew 1 QST unit to either side of one Cream square. Make sure the Light Red unit is facing in toward the center Cream square. Make 8 strips (not 4!).

ROW 3: Sew 1 Blue #3 square to both the left & right side of 1 QST unit. Make sure the Cream QST unit is facing UP. Repeat. MAKE 8 strips. (not 4!)
