Jean Wells

Jean Wells is a distinguished quilter, author, teacher, and longtime leader in the quilting world whose influence spans generations. She is co-owner of The Stitchin’ Post in Sisters, Oregon, a shop she opened in 1975 that became one of the first dedicated quilt stores in the United States. Jean is also the founder of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, a now iconic event that draws quilters and visitors from around the world. She has written more than twenty quilt and pattern books, taught workshops internationally, and shared her expertise in classes and lectures. Her work in both design and business earned her induction into the Quilter’s Hall of Fame and numerous industry awards, and her quilts and innovations continue to inspire makers everywhere.
